Services

Services Directory

The Youth Project provides a variety of services for LGBTQ+ youth 25 & under. If you are in need of anything not listed below, feel free to contact us, and we can help connect you with the right services.

Supportive Counselling

Our support coordinator is available to listen, provide information and help youth get more support. We can provide support to families as well. If you want to get some questions answered, are experiencing harassment, are confused about who you are, are coming out, need help, or just want to talk, we are here.

Education

We believe that education has the power to open minds and create a sense of mutual understanding and respect.  Our classroom workshops and staff PD focus on correcting misconceptions around the LGBTQ community, while promoting positive visibility.  We tailor our presentations to the age and experience of the audience, in order to discuss sexual orientation and gender identity as two separate aspects of person’s individual identity.

Chest Binder & Gaff Program

The Youth Project can provide chest binders and gaffs to youth (aged 25 and under) in need. With your binder or gaff, you’ll receive a sheet with wear & care instructions.

GSA Support

The Youth Project loves GSA’s! If your GSA is in need of resources, guidance, or looking for help with planning/promoting your group, contact our GSA & Education Coordinator, Nik Basset ([email protected]).

Referrals

The Youth Project runs many programs and services but you may need something the Youth Project doesn’t provide. We can help you get connected to the right resources, the right people, and the right programs for you. If you are looking for a professional, a program or an organization that is LGBT positive, we can provide you with that information.
