All LGBTQ+ youth and their allies, ages 25 and under, are welcome to march with The Youth Project in the Halifax Pride Parade. We have a float, and music, and we’ll be handing out fun stuff to the crowd. You’re welcome to walk with us, be on the float, and celebrate Pride!
OKAY I wanna march! What do I do?
*) You can meet us at the Youth Project (2281 Brunswick street) by NOON on Saturday, July 22nd. We will walk down to the parade line-up area together.
*) If you can’t meet us at the YP, and want to meet us at the parade line-up, we are number 18 in the parade lineup.
What should I wear? Can I bring a sign?
Wear what you’re comfortable in! It may be very hot so plan accordingly (Sunscreen is important!!). You can bring a sign that represents you and issues you care about – you’re also welcome to join us for float-building and sign-making on Friday, 21st, from 1:00-4:00! We’ll provide the supplies!
Walk with us at Truro Pride!
The Truro Pride Parade is Saturday, July 29th. The YP has a walking entry, and all youth are welcome to march with us! Look for our banner in the parade line-up! We’ll provide more detail as it we get it.
