Join us Wednesday February 21st, from 3pm to 6pm at Glitter Bean Cafe (5896 Spring Garden Rd, Halifax NS B3H 3B8) for The Youth Project Clothing Drop off! We are so happy to be able to partner again with Glitter Bean Cafe for this event!
The Youth Project is looking for donations for our upcoming Winter Clothing Swap. The Winter Clothing Swap is a free, all ages event that will be held on Friday February 23rd from 3pm to 7pm at the North Memorial Library (2285 Gottingen St, Halifax NS B3K 3B6). The Clothing Drop-Off on the 21st is an opportunity for us to gather enough warm winter clothes to ensure that folks are able to stay warm this winter season!
Items we’re looking for:
– Jackets
– Mittens/gloves
– Snow pants/splash pants
– Hats/toques
– Scarves
– Sweaters
– Fleeces
– Any other warm clothing
Donation Criteria: Wash before donating, pre-loved and in good condition, no piercing/hygiene items, please refrain from donating items with graphic or inappropriate imagery or language, no underwear, socks, or any other type of undergarments. We are looking for clothing donations in all childrens sizes, and sizes XS to 6XL. We will also be accepting clothing the day of the event if you are unable to drop clothes off on the 21st.
This is a mask mandatory event both for drop off and the swap itself. If you do not have one, there will be some provided at the space. It is also important to note that this event is focused on supplying clothing to folks who don’t have access to warm clothing (for any reasons) and they will be prioritized.
Sizing: We encourage folks to stay roughly within their size when browsing at the event. This will help other folks whose sizes may not be accessible. (Example; if you’re a size medium, only take smalls, mediums or larges.)
