Transcending Photography is a new program offering youth the opportunity to have professional photos taken by local photographer Mo Phúng. We hope for these photos to be a celebration of the magic and joy that comes with being a trans youth and an opportunity for gender euphoria.
This event is open to Two-Spirit, Trans, and Non-Binary youth ages 13-25. We will gather at Alderney Landing (2 Ochterloney Street, Dartmouth) on Sunday, October 16th at 2pm.
Bus tickets can be provided to anyone who needs them.
Everyone will be asked to wear a mask when not in front of the camera.
A selection of these photos will be posted to the Youth Project’s social media accounts around Trans Day of Remembrance in November. Due to this, all participants are required to sign a media release form. If you are under 19 a parent or guardian will also need to sign. The Media Release Form will be emailed to you after completing registration. If there are any questions about the media release, please get in touch!
Participants will also receive access to digital copies of their photos to use on their own personal use and social media accounts if they wish.
